Back in the wild west of Lucerne, hiking from Gfellen (Entlebuch) up to a mountain called Schimbrig. I was really glad the day was rather foggy and therefore not too hot, because hiking up 800 height meters made me sweat enough already... but the view has compensated for every single drop of sweat ????
We found out when hiking back to Gfellen that there used to be a resort called Schimbrig Bad at the foot of the mountain in the 19th century next to a natural sulphur spring. The resort burnt down a few years later, another one was built which burnt down as well in the early 20th century. Nowadays the only thing left is the sulphur spring. It‘s said to be very healthy to drink from the spring. We did. Blown away by the taste we completely forgot to take a picture. But I guess you all know what a sulphur spring looks and tastes like...????
